The Initial Consult

  • What to Expect

    The first item on the agenda is to identify the challenge you want to address. You have information gaps or blind spots that are critical to your plans, policies, or ways of working. You need to make an informed decision about how to fix the problem. Our discussion starts with this.

  • Your Objectives

    Defining what you want to achieve comes next. What end state do you have in mind? What does success look like? Our discussion will focus on understanding your objectives, and any ideas or preferences you might already have for getting to that point.

  • Your Options

    We round out the meeting by going over some courses of action available to you. We explain our competencies, identify whether or not they align with your requirements, and we outline options for you to consider. We advise you on their feasibility and discuss indicative costs.

    We operate through retainer agreements - recurring service bundles scaled for light to heavy usage, for as long as they’re needed.

    For non-recurring, complex requirements of defined scope and duration, we organise on a project-basis and work to predictable, fixed fee budgets.

    We offer productised services for clients who require specific documented outputs but not retained services or more complex project engagements.

  • Fees & Pricing

    Our services are priced transparently and competitively, and we organize the work we do for you for maximum cost-effectiveness and predictability.

    We apply a combination of day rates and fixed fees, and work to predictable budgets. For ad hoc work, occasional advisory, or unpredictable tasks of shorter duration we apply hourly charges.

    Additional premiums may apply for assignments of elevated urgency, sensitivity, difficulty or complexity.
